Yardsale a HUGE Success!

Thank you to everyone that donated, organized, shopped, supported, advertised, prayed, and helped to make our yardsale a huge success! We prayed for a specific goal amount, and it was TRIPLED! God has truly blessed us, and we are in awe of his perfect timing and provision for us. We give God all the glory! Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Yardsale This Weekend!! New Location!

It is already time for our yardsale!  This Friday, August 2 and Saturday, August 3!  The sale will begin at 8:00 AM both days.

We have moved locations!  The sale will now be held at 393 Cherokee Street.  Please park on Sessions Street and use the sidewalk to walk to the sale!

 

Again, if you have unwanted items that you are willing to donate to our yardsale, please contact us!  We can pick up your items, or feel free to drop them off to us.  We are asking for quality, gently used items!  Furniture, housewares, and dishes are just a few examples.  We thank you in advance for donating and helping us bring home Baby T!!

We are so excited to hold a yardsale on Friday, August 2 and Saturday, August 3, with all proceeds benefitting Baby T’s adoption!  Marietta Dental Associates has so graciously offered their parking lot as the site for the yardsale.  The sale will begin at 8:00 AM both days. 

This is where we need the help of our friends and family!  If you have unwanted items that you are willing to donate to our yardsale, please contact us!  We can pick up your items, or feel free to drop them off to us.  We are asking for quality, gently used items!  Furniture, housewares, and dishes are just a few examples.  We thank you in advance for donating and helping us bring home Baby T!!

New T-Shirt Fundraiser!

We have launched a new t-shirt fundraiser!  A great thing about this fundraiser is that anyone that wants to sell shirts for our fund can sign up for a Bonfire Funds account.  Once you are signed in, search for our fund, follow it, and simply start sharing.  Once your account is created, you will have your own unique links when you share our fund so that Bonfire can track who follows the links and give you credit for any shirts sold.  If you sell 10 shirts for our fund, you get your shirt for free!  Once logged in, use the MY IMPACT toolbar at the top right for easy ways to share the info.

We don’t earn a dollar on this fundraiser unless we sell at least 50 shirts.  Once the 50^th shirt is sold, credit/debit cards will be charged.  Until then, the cards won’t be charged.  I know that we can do it.  We are SO close to bringing home Baby T!  I know that we are getting ready to watch God work in miraculous ways!  The deadline for this fundraiser is June 3!!!  Help us get the word out and bring Baby T HOME!!!

One thing we've learned throughout our journey is that we are SO blessed with wonderful friends!  Every day, our phones and emails are flooded with messages from friends offering encouragement and prayers, and just sending their love our way.  It is so nice to walk this journey knowing that we have such a strong support system!  We are so blessed and grateful as the day that we meet Baby T is getting closer and closer!

Preparing A Nest!

Now that the paperwork is done, we can focus on the more exciting things, like preparing a nest for this beautiful baby!  Andrew has been hard at work assembling furniture and turning a million pieces into a gorgeous crib.  The nursery furniture is in place, so let the decorating begin!  Baby T is going to have the most stylish room around!

Hearing God's Calling

Thank you for visiting our blog!  God has blessed us with the opportunity to travel this beautiful journey of adopting a baby.  We will use this blog to share updates of this miracle-in-the-making!

We are amazed at all of the blessings we have already received throughout our journey thus far.  We have no doubt that we are right where God wants us to be!  It is such a blessing to say with confidence that we have found our purpose in life, becoming adoptive parents!

Our adoption journey began in 2010.  We struggled with infertility for 3 years.  During this time, our marriage grew stronger than we could have ever imagined, as well as our relationship with God, both as a couple and individually.  After countless doctor visits, tests, procedures, surgery, and tears, we decided to explore other options for growing our family.  Little did we know that the saddest time of our lives would soon be transformed into a revelation of God's calling for us as a couple.  We visited in vitro clinics as well as adoption agencies.  We compared the options, detail after detail.  We prayed for clarity, discernment, God's will, and for our desires to be conformed to God's plan for us.  We prayed, we cried, and prayed some more.

One morning, Romans 8:15 leapt off the pages of my Bible.  "So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves.  Instead, you received God's Spirit when He adopted you as His own children. Now we call him, "Abba, Father."  Choosing adoption was clearly the path that we should take.  We are called to care for others as God cares for us, and because of His great love, we are all adopted into His family.  Without a doubt, we are called to serve the Lord by following His example of loving others through the miracle of adoption!  Andrew and I took the first step on complete faith that HE WILL provide and lead us, and we continue to take each step of this journey with that same faith.

It was SO hard for us to keep our news a secret from family and friends!  We waited many months, until we completed our home study, before we broke the exciting news to anyone.  It was so much fun to finally be able to share and talk about our journey!  The smiles and tears and hugs from everyone are such wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.

We have received overflowing love and support from our family and friends.  We stand in awe of the constant encouragement and kindness we receive from those walking this journey alongside us.  From the phone calls to emails, to the cards and gifts, to surprise dinners, to surprise fundraisers, to the prayers and love that is shown, words cannot ever express our gratitude.  Thank you. 

We stand ready to be amazed at how God is going to complete our family!  Baby T is already so loved by so many people!  We invite you to take a front row seat and join us in watching this miracle unfold.
